If you’re a faithful reader of this blog you’ll know I’m Colombian, and really love my country, but things have to be said either they’re good or bad. For our country they have passed numerous types of presidents, good, invisible, bad and terrible.

But right now something very special is happening in the presidency of Alvaro Uribe Velez, we have a country divided, some supporting the president faithfully endure, others can’t stand him, and the ones who don’t even know who this guy is.

This president has undoubtedly made too important changes in our country, things have to be said, this country has improved in an mpressive manner if we talk about the fight against the FARC and one or more aspects.

In my opinion the country in general is only concerned about the “struggle” against the FARC this has given such importance to the work done by the president, has shown great strides in the war, as we the people see, but what some people don’t think about is the neglect of social issues being presented in the country, where the majority of Colombians are(the poor),  the education, the culture.

If we are going to see a government that has supported the war and has achieved good results, Alvaro Uribe Velez is the best president in Colombian history.

Well, raise taxes and improve the infrastructure of the army, take away the budget for the war and make worse the quality of life of Colombians to avenge the death of my father, for me this is a short summary of what happens in the country.

For those who love the President, don’t be offended, just think of it the way I see it, that’s why this entry is called “Analyzing the presidency of Alvaro Uribe Velez Part One“, I’ll soon put the continuance to talk about all the good things done by the president and to continue with some more things of his administration.

The price increase in public services

The public services rates in Colombia have been one of the main problems during the Uribe’s administration, because even when we have the possibility to have lower charges, these politicians have not wanted to do or say anything, because of their agreements with multinationals that exist in Colombia.

Consciences buying with subsidies for the poor

Besides the previous post about families in action this is just another attempt to try to covertly buy consciences, as our Colombian people has always had a way of thinking a little submissive.
For example in times of Pablo Escobar, this man gave houses and objects to the poorest, and even when they knew the capacity to …
